Offline support and analog fallback routine
This article is a support for administrators or platform owners in MyMurphy who want to strengthen the continuity of the organisation.
MyMurphy is built to be stable and available, and the platform has very high uptime. However, there may be situations where you need to keep working without digital access, for example:
- limited or temporary internet connection
- work in environments where you cannot use a mobile phone or computer
- a need to quickly switch to an analog routine
The purpose of the material is to give you extra resilience and a practical alternative when the situation requires it.
Attached templates and files
In this article you will find attached files that help you quickly switch to a fallback routine.
Excel with the Command Center - LINK
Word file with a suggested agenda - LINK
We recommend that you:
- adapt the Excel file to your organisation and ways of working
- save the documents locally (for use without internet)
- print the paper version and keep it easily accessible
How to use the material
- If you have access to a computer but no internet: use the document locally as support to keep working in a structured way.
- If you have neither internet nor devices: use the printed version to keep the work going analogously.
This gives you a secure fallback: a routine that also works when the conditions change.
Tip: keep the same way of working as in the Command Center
The Excel file also contains a practical tip on how you can create a clear and recognisable situation picture in analog mode.
By taping up a whiteboard that mirrors the structure of the Murphy Command Center, you can keep presenting the current situation picture in a way the organisation recognises.
- The whiteboard is used to visualise the situation here and now.
- Documentation over time (logging and traceability) is kept continuously in the document, so you can save, follow up and report back on the course of events.
This way you keep both the recognisable presentation of the situation picture and a continued structure for documentation and logging.
Note that analog handling often involves more manual work than in the platform. Plan for extra logging resources if you need to work analogously for a period.
